Data Reimagined

THe Challenge

The competition is over

The Challenger

You may know us for our processors. But we do so much more. Intel invents at the boundaries of technology to make amazing experiences possible for business and society, and for every person on earth.

Intel’s strategy has shifted from being a PC-centric company to a Data-centric company. Many of its new developments such as AI, 5G, VR, Autonomous Driving, etc. are aimed at the utilization of data.

Intel's Challenge

Reimagine the usage of data. Submit a product or a service idea which utilizes data to benefit one or more of the following fields: Education, Medicine or Smart/Connected Living or Supply Chain.

* your idea has to follow a certain criteria

Keep in mind our computing options – we can collect, analyze, predict and emit data. We have top tier technologies from the most advanced fields such as Artificial Intelligence, 5G Connectivity, Virtual Reality, Autonomous Driving, etc.

Remember, data comes in different shapes and sizes – it can be visual, audible, and information like shopping behavior, driving routes and every text message and email ever sent.

This Challenge gives you the opportunity to make a huge global impact on society by getting the power of intel's world-wide operation behind your idea.

The Solvers

You. This competition is open for all students, from every field of education and from any high education institute in Israel.

We know "Data Science" sounds just for techies...

But bare with us!

It will all become clear in a minute.

Big data ?

"ha?" OR What is

Trillions of bytes of data are circulating around the world, that’s a given. Every electronic device, e-mail, podcast, photo, etc. emeses data into a virtual cloud. By 2020, every person on the planet will generate 1.5 GB of data, every single day.

Recently the world has reached the point where our computing power is strong enough to handle, share, analyze and store big data and it is currently on the verge of a technological revolution.

Imagine you have access to:

'Cause everyone has a cellphone

What people say: messages &

e-mails exchanged in one-on-one or group chats, world-wide.

What people like: movies, artists, celebrities, stores, shopping, products and even political stands.

Where people have been, and where they are headed.

What people are looking for.

Tools & Skills

'Cause you've got Intel behind you

Top-notch Virtual Reality (VR) hardware and software.

The most advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.

Unlimited computational power.

Best Data Scientist an HR can find.

What would you do?

We want your best idea!

"When do i start?"

Finalists announced

We're about to put a set of industry-leading, distinguished, judges in an arena (or maybe just a closed room) to argue until death. Or until they agree on a list of 8 finalists.

Preparing a pitch

The finalists will work hard on perfecting their proposals and creating a pitch to present to the judging committee. The Bengis Center’s team will provide guidance throughout the entire process and will assist you in creating a complete presentable pitch.

Final Event

After progressing to the final stage and perfecting your presentation, it’s time to reveal your idea to the world and make some buzz in a grand finale! At the end of the evening, the judges will announce the winners that are going to receive all the amazing prizes we’ll shortly tell you about. The event will take place at Intel's offices in Haifa. Check out the previous challenge finale

10,000 NIS

12,000 NIS

8,000 NIS

This is how we do it.

"how do i make them chose me?"

Judging Criteria

Elaborated and refined solutions have a greater chance of qualifying for the finale.

Social impact – Contribution to humanity (including, but not limited to education / medicine / smart/connected living / supply chain.)

Feasibility of implementation

how creative and/or innovative the solution is

In which degree is the solution compatible with the Challenge

Utilization of Intel-technology (AI, 5G Connectivity, VR, Autonomous Driving and more.)

Why "social impact"?

"Intel has a long-standing commitment to corporate responsibility. We set ambitious goals and make strategic investments to drive improvements in environmental sustainability, supply chain responsibility, diversity and inclusion, and social impact.

We are redefining what it means to be an innovator by expanding who has access to technology skills and experiences.
